Nagoya’s Mini-Theaters (arthouse/second-round; mostly with NO English-subtitle when showing Japanese films)

1.           Nagoya Cinematique　名古屋シネマテーク (http://cineaste.jp/) : they have a great collection of film magazines too (in English, French—Cahier du Cinema etc., and Japanese and more); a tiny library from which you could access lots of unthinkable documents. Strongly recommend.

2.          Cinema Skhole　シネマスコーレ (established by filmmaker Wakamatsu Koji; http://www.cinemaskhole.co.jp/)

3.          Meien Cinesalon　名演小劇場 (http://meien.movie.coocan.jp/)

A Slightly more comfortable cinemas for art films
